Our Speaker Series this year will include a free Zoom Webinar every other month. The second one will be on April 9th and our speaker will be Steve Ottersberg, speaking on the subject of Cannabis and Cancer. I have asked him to assume that our audience is naive about the subject and start with the basics. Save the date.
In March we are offering our first writing class, with Sandra Marinella. For the past two years Sandra and I have been co-facilitating online book study groups, reading her book, The Story You Need to Tell – Writing to Heal from Trauma, Illness, or Loss. These groups have been popular and powerful and have started many of you on the path of writing as part of your healing journey. Now you will have an opportunity to write with Sandra’s guidance and support. The group will meet on Zoom for five Tuesdays, starting March 8th from 10 to 12 PST. Sandra’s book and her encouragement has been part of the motivation that has gotten me to the point of finishing the first draft of my cancer memoir, and into the middle of the first re-write, working with an editor. My goal is to finish Coloring outside the Lines, Surviving and Thriving with Cancer for 30+ Years, by the end of this year. Anyone who has written a book knows it is both a tedious, yet rewarding, healing, and exciting project.
