The first Webinar in our free Speaker Series was a huge success, based on the comments I have received from those of you who attended. You learned the power of writing your stories, and many of you got motivated to start writing.

Thank you, Sandra Marinella, author of The Story You Need to Tell — Writing to Heal from Trauma, Illness, or Loss, for sharing your wisdom and enthusiasm with us. Sandra’s October book group and writing group are open for registration. See the News section, below.

I am excited to announce that the presenter in the second of our free Speaker Series Webinars will be Nasha Winters, ND. She has been my go-to expert for years on creating a terrain that isn’t conducive to the growth of cancer. Her book, The Metabolic Approach to Cancer, is the book I have most recommended to cancer patients for the past four years.

She has co-authored a new book, Mistletoe and the Emerging Future of Integrative Oncology. Even though it won’t be out until October, I was privileged to read a pre-publication copy. Since I am using Mistletoe as part of my own cancer treatment, I was eager to read the book. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it is about so much more than Mistletoe. Dr. Winters has a deep understanding of what truly integrative cancer treatment is, and a vision of how to deliver that treatment. The Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health that she is co-creating sounds like a dream come true for many of us who have wanted more than disease management.

I was asked to write a blurb for the book cover. What I wrote is:

“What a treasure this book is — for patients and practitioners alike. It’s time to shed the war metaphor and acknowledge that comprehensive healing must incorporate spirit, soul, and body. These authors provide an expansive and inclusive view of how we can approach and accomplish healing the whole person. As more of us embrace and practice the approaches introduced in this book, we will truly have actual healthcare rather than disease management.”

Dr. Nasha Winters will be presenting a free Webinar for Healing Journeys on Saturday, Oct. 9th at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. When you register you will receive the Zoom link. If you register and aren’t able to attend that Saturday, we will send the recording to everyone who registers. The advantage of attending the Webinar live is that you will get a chance to ask questions following her presentation.

I look forward to sharing this cutting edge and exciting information with you. You can learn more and register here.
