For the past couple of weeks I have temporarily stopped the intermittent fasting program I had been doing for several months. We haven’t been able to identify what has been causing my persistent diarrhea. It could be the fasting, or one or a combination of the supplements, or something else.
My oncologist ordered a bunch of tests and found there was no infection and my electrolytes were normal. We still don’t know what caused it, but the diarrhea has finally stopped the last few days.
I have been feeling anxious, depleted, and tired. I will probably start in with the supplements again, once I feel stabilized, but I won’t do the fasting every week. Maybe once a month. My scan is scheduled the first week in June and then I will know if this has made a difference in the progression (or elimination) of cancer.
Sad and glad… sorry you have unpleasant and enervating side effects and happy you are trusting your intuition and tailoring the regimen to who you are. Sad or glad, we are with you. Love remains strong.
Hi Jan, My prayers and best wishes are extended to you and your family in the hope that you will get well and be uplifted by friends, family and strangers. Thank you for your blog and thoughts and for sharing your trials and challenges along with the positives. You have courage and strengths that uplift those who read your words (me), so I thank you. Your words/thoughts and feelings allow others (me) to have more compassion and a better understanding of the pain and torture this disease inflicts on the person carrying it. My mother passed on 7/6/2002 of ovarian cancer. I learned of her condition 4 months before. We did not get to talk, talking was always always a challenge and she never used the computer, never knew about Healing Journeys or the CaringBridge sites. So, thank you for allowing me into your world, albeit at times a dark one. I pray for light and much love your way!
Love does remain strong. Your circle of support extends beyond your awareness. We are with you.
Hope you have purchased the new RadicalRemissions
Book. Quite extraordinary !
I think you’re diarrheah is a healing crisis. Your body
Is ridding itself of toxins, etc. no worries, just drink lots
Of water to stay hydrated.
When I detoxed my body was getting rid of stuff at both ends.
I did some colonics which fast forwarded the process

Please let us know what supplements you have been taking. Yes diarrhea can be debilitating and certainly not healthy. Good luck.
