Speaker: Nick Trujillo
Speaker Bio: Nick Trujillo is Professor of Communication Studies at CSUS, where he teaches courses in organizational communication, media sports, and small group communication. He has also been a professor at Purdue, Michigan State, and Southern Methodist universities. He received his B.A. from the University of Southern California, where he also played baseball (a pitcher), his M.A. from San Diego State University, and his Ph. D. from the University of Utah. He has published over forty scholarly and trade articles as well as four books. His last book, Cancer and Death: A Love Story in Two Voices (Hampton, 2008, with Leah Vande Berg) was written together with his wife, who died of ovarian cancer in December, 2004. His alter ego, Gory Bateson, is lead singer of the mythical band The Ethnogs, whose music videos can be found on YouTube under the singer’s name.
