Dear Friends,

We're gearing up for the last two Healing Journeys events of 2013. Where has the year gone? We have one more empowering Cancer-Fighting Kitchen workshop, with the fantastic and knowledgeable instructors Lise Alschuler, ND, and Laura Pole, RN, MSN. Here's a short interview with Lise. We are finishing the year with the retreats with Jonathan Ellerby, Ph.D. on the Riviera Maya of Mexico. Please note that he has extended the deadline to register to September 24th.

The retreat in Mexico was life-changing for me last year. Enjoying the moment moved up on my priority list, with some wild abandonment thrown in. I feel like I'm still adjusting to that change, and I occasionally struggle with letting go of my past workaholic behavior. I'm eager to experience what this year's retreats will bring me, and am trying to stay open to unknown possibilities.

Jonathan has been a great teacher and example for me. Moving to Mexico was a huge decision and major change in his life. In this issue of Turning Points you can read a review of the book he wrote about that process and listen to an interview with him about it. His lessons can be applied to many situations in our lives.
