The Workshop
There is wide agreement that one of the most important things we can do to support and promote our own health is to give our bodies the nutrients they need. There are many theories of nutrition out there, and we need to know how to individualize the scientific evidence related to what nutritional support will aid our bodies in recovery and prevent recurrence. As a Naturopathic Oncologist, Lise Alschuler will present evidence-based nutritional and botanical support to support wellness.
We also need to know how to translate that science into the meals that come out of our kitchens. “Chefnurcian” (Chef, Nurse, Musician) Laura Pole, using equal parts warm kitchen-table wisdom and credible scientific knowledge, will demonstrate how to include health-supportive food selections in our daily meals. She will present tips for eating-awareness that help us discover which foods nourish us and which foods “nag” us. Expect to have a delightful time, as Chef Laura brings you “sound bytes” with her savory singing!
